Exercises to optimize well-being...

“Over the course of six coaching sessions, Lee helped me to interact more skilfully with my thoughts and emotions. The sessions included body-based exercises to increase physical awareness. We also frequently engaged in dialogue to identify limiting beliefs. Lee is a good listener, compassionate and reflective. He combines natural talent with extensive professional knowledge.”

A Method for Optimal Living

The Four I-s

Based on my experiences and insights, I wrote a book intended to help people to live an optimally healthy, happy and meaningful life.

The method I describe in my book consists of four phases (the Four I-s):

  1. Identifying: You become aware of a particular goal that you would like to achieve.
  2. Inventorizing: You analyze your current situation and formulate an action plan to achieve a future goal.
  3. Implementing: You execute your action plan until you achieve our goal.
  4. Internalizing: You make sure that the goal that you’ve achieved stays achieved, for as long as possible.
Because many of my coaching clients live in the Netherlands, I wrote my book in Dutch. Download a free version below.

My Coaching Background

I was born in 1975, in London, England. At the age of nine, I moved to the Netherlands, where I attended grammar school.

After graduating as a physical therapist of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, I worked within various sectors of the Dutch healthcare industry, including a rehabilitation centre, a number of private practices and a hospice for the terminally ill.

Gradually, over the course of approximately 2,000 patient sessions, I became aware of how much physical, but also psychological suffering we could prevent as human beings, if only we were taught from a young age how to develop and maintain a healthy relationship with our bodies, but also with our emotions, our thoughts and our beliefs.

A Holistic Approach

As a physical therapist, I developed a more holistic approach, which was focused both on physical well-being and also psychological well-being.

Between 2008 and 2012, I worked with a team of psychologists, physical therapists and occupational physicians to provide therapeutic assistance to patients suffering from a variety of physical and psychological complaints.

I helped patients to develop healthy exercise, nutrition, hydration and sleep habits. I also helped patients to effectively transform unproductive thoughts, unpleasant emotions and limiting beliefs.

Throughout my career, I followed a series of courses related to psychology, personality types and systemic therapy (including family constellations).

In 2012, I started working as an independent coach.
